In celebration of the event’s 6th anniversary, the etnies 2010 AM Getting Paid contest will feature a jam format in the newly built Le TAZ skatepark centrally located in downtown Montreal. Le TAZ features a 35,000 square foot indoor street course, lounges for competitors, media and VIPs, and has plenty of room to accommodate the hordes of spectators and fans expected to attend. For the first time in the history of the event, the etnies 2010 AM Getting Paid contest will host six qualifiers across Canada to give skateboarders from all over the chance to compete for the $10,000 USD prize purse in the main event on September 24-26. This year the boys from Salvation Skateboards, a couple of randoms and even a few of our own from the shop worked till all hrs of the night setting up ramps and getting the park ready for the skate contest at Shake The Lake 09 in Sylvan Lake. Hammers were getting tossed around all day long even by the mini shreds, none of our boys made the podium but they did just amazing board trickery and looked good all day long! (podium next year fells!! i can only talk you up so much) team riders dyelawn, bob-o (rob jeans) and Braden G. were getting loose and we even managed to get a couple pics of the magical moments... on a serious but not so serious note.. it's not about winning at all its just about having fun and skating with your friends and these guys are some of the coolest most positve guys around. and their good to.. that helps.
Massive Thanks To Josh B. @ DC for sponsering this event and keeping all the kids happy and looking good, Every man woman and child that set foot in the building now has a dc sticker on their car (although half of them are most likely up side down there still repping it!)

Incline Industries and the boys from Hibernation have built a 17,000 square foot indoor park in Sylvan for the 2nd Annual Shake The Lake comp! Skate happens Friday the 14th and BMX on Saturday the 15th with $1,000 cash for 1st place in each comp! There are tonnes of cash and prizes for the winners in each category. SKATE TEAM NEWS!! sort of...
SO, the votes are in and the three lucky young men who made the cut aren't answering thier phones!!? I guess the news of who they are will have to wait, until we can confirm that all three of them are indeed ready to fill the giant shoes left by the last team.
In the meantime, though, we had to mention a few people. Rob Shudra, Zach, Marty, and Riley Stoyberg for being the most dedicated skaters to drop off footage. And Stephan Roth for the absolute best production and editting job out of all the vids. You five can come down to the shop and pick up some goodie packages we put together for you.
Thanks again to everyone who dropped off footage. We had a riot watching all the sponsor-me vids. And remember, sponsorship is for a year, so that means you have a whole year left to work on your vids for next time!

ALLROSE IN MONGOLIA?
Some Allrose bros are on their way to London where their crazy journey to Mongolia will begin. Basically, 9 people in 3 rally cars are racing across Europe to Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia to raise money for Mercy Corps Mongolia, a charity that is trying to help rebuild the economy there. Check out the Mongolia Rovers website here. We kinda sponsored a car, and the boys in it promised to keep us updated throughout their trip with pictures and emails. They leave Hyde Park in London on Saturday the 18th, and they're still $5,000 short of their goal, so if you want to be a part of this adventure, click the link and donate some dollars and cents.
